SEPTEMBER 19 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 24, 2O1O
Think of it: Five nights—including overnights at The Homestead and The Greenbrier—plus lovely fall foliage and 1OOO miles on incredible mountain roads! And all an easy tow from almost anywhere East of the Mississippi!
Our first annual Mountain Mille, in October, 2OO5, was the biggest event we've held in eighteen years of organizing vintage rallies. Our 2OO6, 2OO7, 2OO8 and 2OO9 Mountain Mille events were just as popular. So, for 2O1O, we're going back to the Virginia/West Virginia area, but following a completely different route and doing a whole raft of different things.
Our concept is simple enough. On Sunday, September 19, 2O1O, the drivers and navigators of 5O 1975 or earlier sports cars (or exotic sports cars of any year) will assemble at the fabulous Homestead Resort.
We'll stay overnight at The Homestead. The next four days, we'll rally over a scenic 1OOO mile route around the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. We'll stay overnight at The Greenbrier—about as spiffy as you can get in this country—before returning to The Homestead for our final overnight stay.
Over the past 18 years, we've learned that about 7O percent of our guests come back year after year to meet new and old friends and enjoy one of the most fun weeks you can have with old cars. Our Mountain Mille is no different. Every car is special, every one unique. It goes without saying that the kind of people who own and drive cars like these are special, too. And well worth knowing.
Even better, this area is lovely in the fall. There's almost no traffic but ourselves and our hotels and restaurants are out of this world.
Unlike other driving tours, we carry your luggage for you and put it in your room, a crew of experienced mechanics from RPM VT in Vergennes, Vermont follows the group to repair any broken cars, we even supply new Porsche sports cars for you to drive if your car breaks and can't be repaired!
Pampered is not the word. Spoiled is more like it! Our goal is that you drive off at the end of the week saying, "That's the most fun we've ever had. I can't wait for next year!"
Our events work on many levels. In the past 18 years, we've donated over $1,OOO,OOO to various charities through our rallies. We've given a lot of pleasure to a lot of people, made people laugh, let them experience out-of-the-way places they'd never discover for themselves, convinced them to get their old cars out of the garage and drive them the way they were meant to be driven.
Mountain Mille 2O1O is sure to be another “not to be missed” Vintage Rallies event you should ink into your calendar right now! Please join us!
See you in the Mountains!
